West Ham now favourites to sign RB Salzburg Patson Daka – report

West Ham United are now favourites to sign RB Salzburg forward Patson Daka this summer, according to ZamFoot.

The Zambian outlet have claimed on their website that it could cost the Irons up to £25million if they want to win the race.

It is suggested that Manchester City, United, Liverpool and Arsenal are all also interested in the speedster after a goal-frenzy season.

David Moyes has been looking for another striker since allowing Sebastien Haller to leave the London Stadium in January.

The Irons took a huge risk not to replace the Ivorian international, placing their hopes on Jesse Lingard and Michail Antonio.

Both were superb as they helped the Hammers qualify for the Europa League, and more reinforcements will be needed for the added games.

Sensational.

Daka scored 27 goals and added a further seven assists in only 28 appearances last season in the Austrian Bundesliga.

The 22-year-old has been in amazing form in the past year, and a move to the Premier League will surely be too good to turn down.

Moyes has an increased budget due to our European football ahead, and that is added to the money saved from the January window.

Daka could be a bargain at only £25million, and moving quickly could make all of the difference moving forward.

With City, United and Liverpool all interested, the Hammers will have to make sure they get this deal over the line before pre-season starts.
