West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus suffers back injury on Ghana duty
West Ham United manager David Moyes is sweating on the fitness of another first-team regular as Mohammed Kudus missed Ghana training with a back problem.
3Sports Ghana reporter Owuraku Ampofo reported on his personal Twitter account on Monday (20 November) that Kudus will undergo a late fitness test to see if he is available to face Comoros on Tuesday evening (21 November).
Ampofo shared footage of the moment Kudus appeared to sustain the injury during the 1-0 win over Madagascar last Friday (17 November).
Setbacks galore
This is yet another worrying development for Moyes in what has been a terrible international window for West Ham.
Michail Antonio pulled up with a hamstring injury on Jamaica duty, with fears that he could potentially miss the rest of the season [The Telegraph].
Fellow regular Jarrod Bowen was also sent home early from the England camp due to a knock, meaning he is also doubtful to face Burnley on Saturday (25 November).
Add this question mark over the fitness of Kudus into the mix, and that could be three likely starters missing out at Turf Moor next weekend.
That is not to mention the fact that Vladimir Coufal was banished from the Czech Republic squad for violating protocols by attending a nightclub, while Tomas Soucek suffered a horror facial injury.
Moyes will just be glad to see the back of international football for the next three months once these final round of fixtures are out the way with.
In other West Ham news, a first-team regular’s future at London Stadium now appears uncertain following links with a possible upgrade.
