Jamie O’Hara makes David Moyes prediction on talkSPORT after West Ham United defeat vs Bristol City

Jamie O’Hara said that he can “guarantee” all West Ham fans will now be talking about is the future of David Moyes following the loss at Bristol City.

The Hammers suffered a shock third-round elimination from the FA Cup on Tuesday (16 January) as they fell 1-0 at Ashton Gate in the replay, having been held 1-1 in the first game.

Former Tottenham midfielder O’Hara did not hold back in his criticism of West Ham’s display, which leaves them winless in three matches in all competitions.

“That was one of the worst performances I’ve seen for a long time,” he said on talkSPORT [16 January, 10:04pm]. “I thought Bristol City were playing a non-league side.

“West Ham were miles off it. They were awful, terrible. And I guarantee you that West Ham fans will be going on about David Moyes.”

Fickle

The whole Moyes topic will continue to divide the fanbase, even more so with a new contract supposedly having already been agreed.

At the time of that announcement being leaked via the press, West Ham just defeated Manchester United and Arsenal by the same 2-0 scoreline in the space of five days.

Since then, there has been a dire 0-0 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion – which was not a terrible result, in fairness – before the draw and defeat to Bristol City.

Unfortunately for Moyes, that performance and result at Ashton Gate has clouded the previous positive run in the Premier League.

As fickle as that sounds, fans have every right to be disappointed after what they saw.

That said, Moyes has guided the club through to the knockout rounds of a European competition again, and that will be the priority in the remainder of the season.

When you also factor in that United are sixth in the Premier League, fans need to take a step back and put the result in Bristol to one side. This could still be a season to remember.
