Lucas Paqueta ‘infuriates’ David Moyes with something he did in West Ham United v Everton – journalist
West Ham United ace Lucas Paqueta did something against Everton that often “infuriates” manager David Moyes, according to journalist Andy Sims.
Paqueta was unable to make a telling impact at London Stadium on Sunday (29 October) as the Hammers fell to a 1-0 loss in the Premier League.
The Brazil international sloppily gave away possession in the first half, but Everton winger Jack Harrison was unable to take full advantage.

In his review of the game for The Independent [29 October], Sims wrote: “Paqueta showed the side of his game that so infuriates Moyes, gifting the ball to Jack Harrison who burst through only to fire too close to Hammers keeper Alphonse Areola.”

Paqueta had an off-day – as did pretty much every West Ham player – on what was the latest day to forget for Moyes’ men.
The 26-year-old finished with a passing accuracy of just 74.6%, which is the lowest of any United player to play the full 90 minutes [WhoScored].
Former Lyon ace Paqueta was ineffective out on the left-hand side once again in a worrying patch of form for the Hammers.

Paqueta’s frustration told as he was cautioned for dissent in the second half – his fifth yellow card of the season, meaning a one-match ban.
West Ham are undoubtedly a better side with Paqueta in their line-up – and he had some promising moments against Everton – but a game out of the team may do him well.
Moyes may well have been left annoyed by that one particular moment against Everton, but he will know better than anyone just how key Paqueta is to turning things around at London Stadium.
In other West Ham news, Moyes can no longer ignore a “crazy” player after something he did last week.
