West Ham United news as David Moyes left surprised ahead of Conference League final v Fiorentina
West Ham boss David Moyes is said to have been surprised by proposals to have his squad dressed in new formal suits for the Europa Conference League final on Wednesday 07 June, according to the Daily Mail, [05 June, Page 63].
Instead of being suited and booted for the massive occasion, the players will adorn new tracksuits from current kit partners Umbro in the build-up to the clash with Fiorentina in which the Hammers will attempt to secure their first major trophy since 1980.
A former West Ham player is said to have been involved with the outfit choices presented to the manager who has opted for a more casual approach after talks behind the scenes.

The detail was outlined in the report for the Mail by Mike Keegan, ahead of the showdown in the Czech capital.
“West Ham boss David Moyes was asked if he would like new suits for his playing squad for the Europa Conference League final in Prague,” he said.
“The Scot was subsequently provided with three designs, including one option from the brand owned by former Hammer, Robert Snodgrass.
“According to insiders, Moyes was surprised to see a number of formal suits on offer and was under the impression that the intention had been to provide new tracksuits. After discussions, his players will be in new Umbro leisurewear for the big occasion.”

Impact
Some may be surprised that a traditionalist like Moyes has decided against suits for this very important event, but perhaps he has decided that an informal approach is best or he possibly consulted key members of his squad on the call.
Either way, the sartorial offering from Umbro should be fitting to match the magnitude of the showpiece final in Prague which is now just two days away.
West Ham have it in their own hands to go out and secure glory. What matters most is the impact that is made on the pitch, with the preparations almost complete.
The build-up has included a short warm weather training camp in Portugal but regardless of the measures taken ahead of the game, it all comes down to what the players do when the whistle blows.
In a season of great results in Europe for West Ham, one more is required to sign off in style.
