West Ham United make Julen Lopetegui sack decision v Everton regardless of result
Julen Lopetegui will remain in charge of West Ham United no matter what the result against Everton, according to the Telegraph.
The news outlet reports [7 November] that the Hammers aren’t contemplating parting ways with the Spaniard even if they lose against the Toffees, and he is expected to be in charge of the team for the first fixture after the international break.
While the Irons are concerned about the poor start to the season, Lopetegui isn’t under any threat at the moment, although the former Real Madrid manager needs positive results to ease the pressure around him.
Julen Lopetegui doesn’t deserve time at West Ham
With the departure of David Moyes, the London Stadium faithful were excited to see the club ushered into a new era.
Lopetegui had built a reputation for himself with his stints at Sevilla and Wolves, but while not many were overly excited about the Spanish national taking the reins of the team, there were still certain expectations from him.
What has transpired since has been a host of mediocre performances, which isn’t acceptable at any club, let alone West Ham.

The Hammers made a considerable investment in their squad this summer, buying the likes of Jean-Clair Todibo, Max Kilman, Crysencio Summerville and Niclas Fullkrug.
While Lopetegui has had to deal with a few injury issues, the squad at his disposal is good enough to challenge for a European spot in the Premier League table, but the Irons currently sit 14th in the table, six points above the relegation zone.
A loss to Everton should be the end of the Spaniard’s stint in the West Ham dugout, and keeping him in charge beyond that for the Newcastle United fixture on 25 November would be inexcusable.
In other West Ham news, the decision Lopetegui must make regarding Todibo for the game against the Toffees.
