West Ham United make contact with agent of Sasa Kalajdzic

West Ham United have already made contact with the agents of Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic over a summer transfer, according to BILD.

The 24-year-old has just one year left on his current deal with the Bundesliga club and he therefore could be sold this summer with the Hammers the keenest of the sides in the race for his signature.

BILD reports that West Ham “contacted his advisor Sascha Empacher some time ago,” but we face competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton.

Kalajdzic, who is as tall as Peter Crouch at six-foot, seven-inches, would be available for just £21million this summer and German TV legend Marcel Reif is convinced he is heading to the Premier League.

“I think Sasa Kalajdzic is going to England. From what I hear, there is already a relatively clear agreement,” he told BILD.

“He’s a great boy, he’s far from done. We’ll hear about him if he stays healthy. Bayern would have been too early for him.”

We all love to see the cute, intricate passing football that comes with the Premier League but sometimes you need a big lump up top to cause a bit of carnage in the opposition defence.

He might not be the most fashionable player we could go and sign this summer but there are very few who will be as effective at their game as the Austrian.

Kalajdzic would be the perfect substitute to bring on when Michail Antonio starts to get tired late into games no matter the scores on the doors.

If we’re winning, he comes on to not only hold the ball up when we clear the ball but also provide a massive aerial presence to nod away any crosses into the box by the opposition.

Reverse the scores and that aerial ability then becomes a proper weapon as we pump balls into the box and the defenders desperately scramble to stop him, usually to no avail.
