West Ham United: Lucas Paqueta set to fly in for medical for record new transfer – ExWHUemployee
West Ham United are now very close to smashing their transfer record to sign Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta this summer, according to ExWHUemployee.
The reliable source has reported that a £50.7million bid has been agreed on by the two clubs which includes various clauses for down the line.
Paqueta is now set to fly into the United Kingdom for a medical in the coming hours, with only late changes of mind and agent fees said to possibly be in the way as things stand.
Writing on the official West Ham Way Patreon on Friday [26 August], Ex shared the latest as the news started to spread like wildfire this afternoon.
“We can confirm that Lyon have accepted our third and final bid today which is expected to be around the €60m [£50.7m] mark including various clauses.
“The player has all but agreed personal terms and is expected to fly over for a medical.
“Of course, the medical and late changes of mind (and agent fees etc) can still stop the deal happening but we are getting very close to breaking our record transfer bid.”
