West Ham United-linked Mohammed Kudus sends Edson Alvarez one-word message after debut v Chelsea
West Ham-linked Mohammed Kudus has sent a message to Edson Alvarez after the latter made his debut for the club.
The Hammers are pushing to sign the Ajax attacker, but his asking price is now steeper than expected, according to 90min (21 August).
Alvarez came off the bench for fellow debutant James Ward-Prowse in the 3-1 win against Chelsea on Sunday (20 August).

Sharing his delight at making his West Ham debut, Alvarez posted on Instagram: “Premier League debut + Massive win + Unbelievable atmosphere. What a way to start. COYI.”
And among those commenting was his former Ajax teammate Kudus, who wrote: “Machinnnn,” in reference to Alvarez’s nickname, as he revealed on the official West Ham Instagram account (18 August).

The majority of West Ham fans were getting very worried that a Declan Rice replacement would not arrive this summer, having lost their star man to Arsenal at the beginning of the transfer window.
A huge sum of money was available to be spent on a new defensive midfielder, but the powers that be showed little sign of intent as fan angst grew and grew.
But that was brought to an end with the signature of Alvarez from Ajax, with the Hammers also bringing in fellow midfielder Ward-Prowse from Southampton.
The latter started and starred against Chelsea at the London Stadium, clinching two assists as the hosts secured a superb victory.
Now, however, it seems that manager David Moyes is keen to strengthen further up the pitch, and he could do a lot worse than Ajax ace Kudus.
The Ghana international knows Alvarez well from their time together in Amsterdam, with Hammers fans hoping that the latter can now persuade the former to join him in East London.
