West Ham United: Kurt Zouma replies to Lucas Paqueta Instagram post, ‘massive’
Kurt Zouma and Edson Alvarez have reacted to Lucas Paqueta’s Instagram post after West Ham beat Everton 3-1 at Goodison Park on Saturday 2 March.
The aforementioned duo joined Tomas Soucek in overturning Beto’s headed opener, with the Hammers completing a dramatic comeback for their second victory in as many matches.
Having returned from injury against Brentford, Paqueta was instrumental once again as West Ham have responded to their torrid run of eight matches without a win in all competitions.
Following the match, Brazili star Paqueta took to X on Sunday 3 March, posting an image with the caption, “West Ham massive,” with Zouma and Alvarez responding in the comments with fire and heart emojis.

Eight consecutive games in all competitions without a victory had cast a shadow over David Moyes’ tenure at the London Stadium, with many Hammers fans calling for his sacking since the turn of the New Year.
Since Paqueta has returned to the side, West Ham have looked a brand new side, beating Brentford and Everton and scoring seven goals in the process, compared to four goals in the previous eight games.
However, it is clear that the Hammers are extremely dependent on the Brazilian to drive their attack, which will remain a concern even despite getting back to winning ways.
Though the pressure on Moyes has lifted, and fewer fans are now calling for his sacking, the club’s season is still very much hanging in the balance and will need a lot of hard work to achieve success.
The London club had a chance of finishing in the top-four spots earlier in the season. But with injuries to Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen, and Mohammed Kudus away on international duty, their form slipped and so did their league position.
Of course, there is a risk that could happen again before the end of the season but with the chance of claiming another piece of silverware, continuing their Europa League journey against Freiburg, Moyes has the potential to provide more special memories.
