West Ham United keen on Feyenoord manager Arne Slot with David Moyes summer exit expected
West Ham United are keen on Feyenoord manager Arne Slot as a replacement for David Moyes in the summer, according to The Times.
Slot, 44, has transformed Feyenoord into Eredivisie’s runaway leaders this season – winning 20 of their 28 league games – and his coaching style has drawn comparisons to former Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa.
The Times report states that the Hammers are “expected to part company” with Moyes, even if the Scot keeps his struggling team in the Premier League this season.

However, the club are expected to face competition from both Spurs and Crystal Palace for Slot’s services as manager.
Moyes’ West Ham side currently sits 14th in the Premier League table but remain just three points above the relegation zone.

Great option
Slot has emerged as one of Europe’s most promising managers over the past few seasons, and this is certainly a name supporters should be excited to be associated with.
Leeds approached the Dutchman about the vacant position at Elland Road after the sacking of Jesse Marsch, but the coach wanted to finish off his stellar campaign with Feyenoord.
However, the job at the London Stadium could prove too good to turn down as long as the club remain in the Premier League this season.
After a £165million influx of cash on transfers last summer, and possibly up to £100million more to spend this summer if Declan Rice leaves the club, Slot would certainly be given free rein over the personnel he wanted to bring into the club.
Although such rumours will come as a sucker punch to Moyes, it is hard to envisage a scenario where the Scot stays at West Ham United beyond the summer.
Unfortunately, Moyes has run out of ideas this season and the club is starting to go stale under his leadership.
