West Ham United: Journalist details ‘significant’ turnaround for Jarrod Bowen after what he’s done
Jarrod Bowen has had a “significant turnaround” in fortunes with his head after what he’s done for West Ham this season, according to Roshane Thomas.
Writing on The Athletic website on Wednesday (15 November), the journalist highlighted how the England international failed to score a single goal with his head during the 2022/23 season.
He noted that between 2019 and the end of last season, the 26-year-old only attempted nine headed shots, while he has already had eight during this campaign alone and managed to find the back of the net with three of those efforts.

Impressive
It’s an impressive upturn in fortunes for Bowen as he is now proving to be a real threat in the air as well as on the floor for West Ham.
The winger is by no means the tallest player, but he just has a knack for being in the right place at the right time after registering nine goals and two assists in 16 games this season.
His improved ability in the air has proven to be a huge bonus for the Hammers as they now also have the expert dead-ball deliveries from James Ward-Prowse to rely upon.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to continue seeing Bowen add more headed goals to his tally across the campaign as he is in a rich vein of former at this moment in time.
That was why it was incredibly important that he signed the new seven-year deal with us to ensure his long-term future will be at the London Stadium.
In other West Ham news, a talkSPORT broadcaster has told the club to sack Moyes in the next few days.
