West Ham United job could be available as Jose Mourinho wants Premier League return
Jose Mourinho is eyeing a Premier League return and the West Ham United job could be available, according to the Daily Mail, pg.114. (28 January)
The report claims that although the Hammers job may be open to Mourinho to grasp should David Moyes leave or be sacked, his first choice would be the head coaches role at Chelsea.
Nevertheless, Mourinho’s wife and children still live in London which may end up being a pulling factor in which Premier League job he chooses.

“Jose Mourinho is eager to return to England next season amid frustration at a lack of financial backing from Roma. An extraordinary third spell at Chelsea would be his ideal scenario and his representatives have let it be known that he would be interested in any vacancy at Stamford Bridge,” as quoted by the Daily Mail, pg.114. (28 January)
“The West Ham job could also be available soon given David Moyes’ struggles, although Mourinho would not leave Roma during the middle of the season.”

Go on then.
If West Ham United stay in the Premier League after this season and Moyes does see the sack, then why not make a move for Mourinho?
Obviously, this kind of move is the stuff of dreams but realistically, he isn’t going to get anywhere near the “big” jobs in the English top flight any more.
It’s highly unlikely Chelsea would give Mourinho a third chance and he’s already outstayed his welcome at both Manchester United and Tottenham.
So for some bizarre reason, a move to West Ham United actually makes sense and Mourinho would bring with him to the London Stadium the winning mentality fans are craving.
There is no denying that the Portuguese tactician is still one of the best in the beautiful game and it would be great to see what he could do with this West Ham United squad.
Time will tell whether any Mourinho moves transpire, but when the time comes to look for a new manager, the Hammers could do far worse than Jose.
