West Ham United in the hunt for Paris Saint-Germain defender Thilo Kehrer
West Ham United are in the hunt for “exciting” defender Thilo Kehrer in the summer transfer window, as per ExWHUemployee.
The reliable Hammers source shared on his Patreon on 6 August that West Ham have joined a host of clubs in the race to sign the 25-year-old German international.
He is a centre-back who can also operate as a left-back, and a player who appeals to the club. However, the Hammers are expected to face strong competition for him.
Good move?
The Hammers are looking to add another defender to their ranks this summer, despite signing Nayef Aguerd.
The injury to Aguerd has forced the Hammers into rethinking their transfer plans, and it seems signing another defender has become a priority.

Angelo Ogbonna is not fully fit yet, and it will take another month or so for him to make a comeback after a long injury lay-off.
Issa Diop is also linked with a move away from the London Stadium.
The Hammers have signed Burnley midfielder Maxwel Cornet who can also play as a left-back, but Moyes is probably looking at a centre-back who can also play as a left-back.
In such a scenario, a move for Kehrer makes sense. The Germany international joined PSG in 2018 and has made over 125 appearances for the club in all competitions.
The Hammers have already faced problems doing deals with PSG, having missed out on Amadou Onana. It remains to be seen whether they make a strong approach to sign him.
