West Ham United in advanced talks for Pablo Fornals exit after Said Benrahma, deal could be done by 11pm deadline – Dharmesh Sheth
Talks are advancing between West Ham and Real Betis for the transfer of Pablo Fornals, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Sky Sports News reporter revealed via his official X account (1 February) that Betis are “understood to be closer to West Ham’s valuation” of the Spanish midfielder.
As a result, the player and both clubs are currently optimistic that a deal will be agreed before the transfer window shuts on Thursday night.
This news follows an update via Fabrizio Romano’s official X account (1 February) that Said Benrahma is currently in France to complete a move to Lyon.
Double exit
It looks as if West Ham supporters should be prepared to say goodbye to two of their attacking options before 11 pm on Thursday.
It hasn’t been an easy season on a personal level for either Fornals or Benrahma and both players will likely be hopeful that their exits can be sealed in time so that they can get back to playing regularly again with their new clubs.
For David Moyes, this will leave him slightly short of options going forward with Michail Antonio out injured, and fans will be wondering if this double exit news could perhaps prompt the club to act late with some incoming business of their own.
If not, Divin Mubama might expect to be handed more minutes with the queue to the first-team picture set to be significantly reduced.
Either way, fans will be saying goodbye to two players who have experienced plenty of joy with the club, but are clearly just in need of fresh starts.
In other West Ham news, one player is likely to stay put at The London Stadium beyond Deadline Day.
