West Ham United have fee agreed with Torino for Nikola Vlasic despite reports
West Ham United have a £13million future fee agreed with Torino for Nikola Vlasic despite contrary reports, according to Claret and Hugh.
It had been reported by Calciopolis that the Turin-based club were actually unwilling to spend what they thought was a £19million future fee when his loan deal expired.
But a London Stadium insider told Claret and Hugh that this was not actually true and the £13million fee was indeed what they would have to pay if they wanted to buy him outright.
“Once again it appears to be a case of news sources making up stories as there is no truth in a figure of £19million,” the insider said. “The reality is that a figure of £13million has been agreed between the clubs.”
Vlasic has started the season very well in Serie A, becoming a fan favourite at the Olympic Stadium having scored three goals in 10 matches and playing 95 per cent of minutes since he joined the club.
After the impressive start t life in Turin he has had, Vlasic is perhaps proving to David Moyes and West Ham that they should have had some patience with him last season.
The manager and many at the London Stadium were very quick to write him off as a potential starter with only substitute appearances and very rare starts giving him little chance to properly shine.
He is getting that in Italy now and looking like the real deal which makes you wonder why Moyes refused to give him the same chance in the Premier League.
He was far too content in letting Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma play off the left flank than give the Croatian international a chance and it eventually was the downfall of the team in the Europa League knockout rounds.
The same is happening to Maxwel Cornet now who gets villainised whenever he has a bad game by Moyes who then reverts to the same predictable bunch of players he has always played and are not really good enough for this level.
