West Ham United have clearly lost interest in Tomas Soucek contract negotiations
Tomas Soucek hasn’t enjoyed the most productive couple of years for West Ham United after exploding onto the scene in his first season at the London Stadium.
Ten goals in the 2020/21 campaign had many thinking the Czech midfielder would be destined for bigger and better things in the years to come. Sadly, that has not been the case for the 27-year-old, who has struggled for form at times over the last year.
What hasn’t helped has been the long-standing contract battle that is seemingly occurring between his representatives and the club. Whatever is going on behind the scenes is not benefiting the midfielder.

90min reported (21 April) that Soucek’s future was in doubt, with the club failing to agree on new terms with the midfielder, with his current deal up in the summer of 2024.
The latest news to emerge from the club could well have revealed their intentions moving forward when it comes to the 27-year-old and his long-term future at the London Stadium.
90min have suggested (24 October) the Hammers have turned a keen eye to the Eredivisie as they look to bolster their midfield options.

It’s understood Ajax’s Edson Alvarez and PSV’s Ibrahim Sangare are two defensive midfield options the club have been looking at in recent weeks and this could be the Irons showing their hand when it comes to negotiations with Soucek.
David Moyes clearly rates him, but there must now be a frustration growing when it comes to his current contract negotiations and what he is demanding. The hierarchy at West Ham could now be getting ready to cut their losses and look to replace Soucek.
If the Hammers do sign one of the Eredivisie pair, it will be intriguing to keep an eye on Soucek’s future heading into the 2023 summer window.
