West Ham United goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski seen in protective equipment ahead of AEK Larnaca clash

West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has been seen in protective equipment ahead of AEK Larnaca clash in the Conference League on Thursday, 16 March.

The Hammers number one has been missing in action since the 4-0 over Nottingham Forest and is expected to be out until the international break.

However, he appears to be on his way back to recovery as he’s now at Rush Green, albeit with a mask on his face.

Via Twitter, Football London journalist Jonty Colman wrote, “Lukasz Fabianski out here with a protective mask on.”

Back soon?

Even though he’s close to being 40, Fabianski’s a top professional and we’re delighted to see him back in Rush Green even with an injury.

That shows his dedication to the cause and he’ll surely be taking all the right precautions while doing everything he can to get back to normal.

It’ll be a boost for the younger keepers as well as Alphonse Areola as the goalkeepers train together and Fabianski’s experience will certainly come in handy during training.

He’s not going to be available for the mid-week clash in Europe but there’s a good chance of him being back in the first match after the international break.

While a number of players will be out playing for their countries, Fabianski will be working doubly as hard on the training ground.

Whether or not David Moyes continues with Areola after Fabianski is 100 per cent, remains to be seen.
