West Ham United fume after what Vladimir Coufal has done
West Ham United are not happy with Vladimir Coufal returning from injury for the Czech Republic’s upcoming European Championship qualifiers, according to Claret and Hugh.
Republic boss, Tomáš Pešir, revealed (Idnes, 20 March) he is in constant contact with the Hammers over the 30-year-old’s fitness. It’s understood they’re doing everything possible to get him fit for Friday’s fixture against Poland (24 March).
Coufal has missed the Hammers’ last two Premier League fixtures and Claret and Hugh’s club insider has revealed West Ham are concerned with his international involvement.

“We wish Coufal wasn’t going away given the circumstances with his heel problem and who knows what injuries any of the nine other senior players on duty will pick up,” said the London Stadium insider (Claret and Hugh, 22 March).
Strange
The decision from Coufal doesn’t make sense. He’s an important part of his country’s success but it’s certainly a risk from the West Ham fullback. If he features for the Czech Republic and sustains another injury, David Moyes will, rightfully, be fuming.
Despite his relatively poor form this season, he’s a leader and the Scot needs as many leaders as possible for the Premier League run-in. West Ham are currently in the relegation zone and know they need to put a run of consistent wins together between now and the end of the season.

Moyes has been clinging onto his job and it seems he will be the man at the helm come the end of the season. It’s been a bold decision to stick by the former Manchester United manager and if West Ham are relegated, all fingers will be pointing directly at the board.
All eyes will now be on the international break, with Moyes desperate to head into the latter stages of the campaign with a clean bill of health.
