West Ham United fan clashes with Gabby Agbonlahor live on talkSPORT over £170m board claim
West Ham United appear to be a club heading in the wrong direction at the moment and one supporter has had enough of the board.
The Irons were beaten again on Saturday (12 November) as Leicester City ran all over them at the London Stadium in a 2-0 win thanks to goals from James Maddison and Harvey Barnes.
Even a penalty save by Lukasz Fabianski couldn’t help the Hammers get a result and one fan called talkSPORT to claim that the board need to go before getting into an argument with Gabby Agbonlahor.
“I don’t like the board and I think they all have to go,” West Ham fan Ray said. “They’ve not spent enough money.”
Agbonlahor interrupted: “You’ve just spent £170million in the summer, what are you talking about?”
“For me, David Sullivan has not backed West Ham enough,” Ray responded.
“Are you actually a West Ham fan or are you on a wind-up?” Agbonlahor then asked. “You spent £170million this summer so how can it be the board’s fault, they’ve given him money finally and the players he’s bought haven’t performed yet.”
Nonsense
Agbonlahor could be right that this was a wind-up because the board have very clearly put money behind David Moyes this summer with plenty of fresh blood brought in.

Things just aren’t clicking as they should be at the moment and that has to fall onto the management team and the players who are the ones who really affect what happens on the grass.
GSBK have done all they can in providing a huge summer budget for Moyes to go out and buy the players he wants and he got most of them so patience is now needed before it all gels together.
Unfortunately, time is not often a given in football nowadays and if the dismal form carries on after the World Cup break then Moyes’ position could easily become untenable.
But to say that the board aren’t putting enough money behind the club months after spending £170m on players in just one transfer window is bonkers.
