West Ham United eye move for ‘Hot property’ Arnaut Danjuma, price could rise upto £40m

West Ham are interested in Arnaut Danjuma, but he is one of the many targets for the Hammers, as reported by ExWHUemployee.

The reliable Hammers source wrote on his Patreon on 26 June that the Villarreal attacking midfielder is a “hot property” in Europe at the moment and a number of clubs are vying for his signature.

It’s not clear what Ex really meant about whether the Hammers have started talks or will start talks, but it’s definitely clear that the player’s price could go up to £40m.

The Spanish side will hope to entertain a bidding war to drive up the asking price, and West Ham will hope that it stays within their budget.

David Moyes is yet to decide whether they wish to make further talks and register a concrete interest. He is one of the many targets for the club, alongside Jesse Lingard, Adnan Januzaj, Keane Lewis Potter etc.

Cracking signing

The Hammers need to bolster their attacking midfield areas this summer and Danjuma will be a cracking signing for the London club.

The 25-year-old has been outstanding in the past 12 months, where he scored 17 goals for his club and country last season (2021-22).

He played a pivotal role in taking Villarreal to the semi-final of the Champions League, and has made rapid progress since joining the Yellow Submarines from Bournemouth.

The best thing about his game is versatility. He can play on both flanks as also through the middle.

At the moment, it seems like he is just another player who has caught the attention of Moyes, and the Hammers may have made an initial approach.

West Ham need to sign a striker and one or two midfielders as well this summer, so it remains to be seen whether they would be willing to make a concrete approach for the player.
