West Ham United eye Ibrahim Sangare, PSV to sanction £32m summer exit

PSV Eindhoven are prepared to let Ibrahim Sangare leave this summer with a number of Premier League sides, including West Ham, hunting the 25-year-old, according to 90min.

90min claim (24 March) the Ivory Coast international has a £32million release clause and that the London Stadium has been touted as a possible destination.

It’s believed the midfielder is open to moving to the Premier League and that the Eredivisie club are ready to cash in before his value decreases. Furthermore, Sangare’s representatives have been in contact with a number of Premier League clubs.

However, it’s understood the 25-year-old is eager to move to a “bigger side” which could make a move hard to complete for West Ham. Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool are all also said to be admirers.

Tough to complete

This is a move which looks unlikely. West Ham’s league position means their transfer planning will have to wait until the season reaches its conclusion. If David Moyes’ men can secure their league status, then there’s a good chance they will be able to be competitive in the market, particularly if Declan Rice departs.

The 24-year-old is destined to be playing in the Champions League and, at present, will almost certainly leave the London Stadium in the summer window. If the Irons can stay up, then they stand a good chance of recouping their valuation of the midfielder.

A big transfer fee for Rice could see the board in a good position to land a replacement. Sangare would be an excellent addition, but considering the interest in the PSV man, it’s a move which looks hard to complete at present.

Moyes won’t be focusing on what’s to come in the summer. The Scot is, once again, under immense pressure and will be hoping to finally put a run of wins together when the Premier League resumes.
