ExWHUEmployee shares midfield stars verdict for West Ham United clash v Arsenal

ExWHUemployee has delivered his verdict on the chances of Declan Rice and Lucas Paqueta playing in the West Ham United clash v Arsenal on 26 December.

Rice and Paqueta both crashed out of the FIFA World Cup in dramatic fashion in the Quarter-Final stages of the tournament in Qatar.

Ex responded to a fan on Twitter questioning whether Rice and Paqueta would be asked to play in the Arsenal game, stating that he thinks “they will be asked to play.”

“I think they will be asked to play,” replied EXWHUEmployee to the concerned fan on Twitter.

The duo will be desperately needed against a fierce Arsenal outfit, in what is probably the best time to play the league leaders after an extended layoff.

West Ham

Hit the ground running.

There is no time to waste in the Hammers Premier League campaign and they need to hit the ground running against Arsenal on 26 December.

Rice and Paqueta will be absolutely vital towards West Ham United achieving anything this year and they will have to quickly forget their FIFA World Cup woes.

It’s arguably the hardest part of being a footballer to deal with, bouncing back from cruel and career-defining defeats but it’s something the midfield duo must do.

The Irons sit in an extremely precarious position in the league table right now and it’s fair to say that they could easily become embroiled in a relegation scrap.

With luck, a few decent wins over the Christmas period will banish any relegation fears but it’s not completely out of the question as things stand.

Fans are craving better performances from David Moyes’ side and if he fails to deliver anything soon, more questions must be raised about his leadership of the team.
