West Ham United deny what anonymous sources are now saying about David Moyes

Anonymous sources have revealed that there is currently tension between West Ham chiefs David Moyes and Tim Steidten, according to The Athletic.

The news outlet reported on its website on Friday (23 February) that the Hammers have moved to deny those claims as the pressure ramps up on the Scotsman after going eight games without a victory.

It said Steidten, who joined the club as technical director last summer, will have a “significant say” on who will be in charge at the London Stadium next season.

West Ham chiefs must improve relationship

There have been reports coming out pretty much since Steidten joined West Ham that he hasn’t been on the same page with Moyes on various issues.

The pair are believed to have disagreed over transfers in both windows they have worked together now, resulting in just Kalvin Phillips coming through the door on loan in January.

If Moyes wants to keep his job at the London Stadium, then he is simply going to have to find a way to work with the technical director as he now appears to have his feet firmly under the table.
