West Ham United defender Kurt Zouma could lose starting role
Kurt Zouma could lose his starting role at West Ham once Nayef Aguerd returns, as per Claret and Hugh.
The reliable Hammers source reported on their website (11 October) that there are “concerns” over Zouma’s performances this season.
Although there is no suggestion that David Moyes is unhappy with him, he could be rotated once Aguerd returns to action after his long injury lay-off.

Rotation
Zouma joined the Hammers last season from Chelsea and played a big role under Moyes.
Despite his injury that ruled him out for a long spell, he made 32 appearances for the club in all competitions.
He has established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet and didn’t give any indication that he should be dropped.
This season, he has made eight appearances in the Premier League already, but it seems there are some concerns with his performance.

Aguerd is yet to play for the club, and there are high hopes for him. Thilo Kehrer, another summer signing, has been outstanding so far, and Moyes could use him alongside Aguerd as the first choice.
In that case, Zouma could lose his place, and he may well be rotated. This is not a bad option.
There should be competition for places, and every player must earn his place on the side.
However, with Craig Dawson likely to leave at some point, Zouma can still expect to play in a lot of games even if he’s not the first name on the team sheet.
