West Ham United could pounce as Sevilla Youssef En-Nesyri stance revealed

West Ham United summer transfer target Youssef En-Nesyri is free to leave Sevilla, with the Spanish club hoping his value increases during the World Cup, according to Fichajes.

The Evening Standard reported (11 July) the Hammers were interested in the 25-year-old but Sevilla were reluctant to let him depart the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

However, it’s been suggested (Fichajes, 18 November) Sevilla are now willing to let the Moroccon, who has just two goals to his name this season, depart the club. The door could now be open for the Hammers to reignite their interest in the striker.

However, considering En-Nesyri isn’t in the finest form for his club at the moment, this isn’t a move we can see the Hammers pursuing any time soon.

The Irons would be much better off trying to get some kind of form out of Gianluca Scamacca, after the Italian’s big-money summer move from Sassuolo. It’s quite hard to work out why things haven’t worked out for the 23-year-old.

He’s shown moments of brilliance for David Moyes’ men, but also hasn’t quite shown the levels of consistency required to succeed in the Premier League. He’s contracted to the club until 2027, so there’s no need for West Ham to worry or cut their losses just yet, but it would be nice for the striker to hit some form when the Premier League returns at the end of December.

Another striker coming into the equation just doesn’t make any logical sense for the Hammers at the moment, with there being other areas of Moyes’ squad which needed attention.
