West Ham United could be one of busiest Premier League clubs in rest of January – Alex Crook

Alex Crook has reported that West Ham United could be one of the busiest Premier League clubs in the remainder of the January window.

The talkSPORT transfer expert has been told that the Irons have still not given up hope of signing Jesse Lingard from Manchester United.

With Europa League football returning next month and the push for another top-six finish in mind, David Moyes will look to utilise the market.

Speaking live on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan this morning (18 January), Crook predicted a crazy couple of weeks at the London Stadium.

“I think West Ham will be busy in the final throws of the transfer window,” he said.

“You know all about their ambitions, both in terms of challenging for Europe this season and indeed once the Europa League resumes around about February time.

“They’ve not given up hope, I’m told, of prizing Jesse Lingard away from Manchester United. So, West Ham could be one of the busier clubs in the Premier League come the next couple of weeks.”

West Ham

Busiest.

We have seen crazier things happen in the past, but West Ham being one of the busiest clubs in a transfer window would be up there.

Daniel Kretinsky is yet to fund any transfer deals alongside GSB since his arrival, and deals are desperately needed.

Looking at the 3-2 defeat against a threadbare Leeds on Sunday (16 January) the defence and final third really need looking at.

Kurt Zouma is on his way back, but Craig Dawson and Issa Diop were shocking and another option in there would help massively.

Michail Antonio also struggled once again, and being made to chase the ball consistently took it all out of him, and there was only Sonny Perkins to bring off the bench.

That needs to be addressed – bring on these crazy two weeks.
