West Ham United continue talks to seal new Divin Mubama contract as player sources speak out
West Ham United are continuing in talks with Divin Mubama to tie him down to a new deal at the London Stadium, according to Claret & Hugh.
The reliable Hammers journalists, share on their online website (23 November) that the striker’s agents are “determined to tick as many boxes as possible on the teenager’s future”.
Sources close to Mubama, as reported by Claret & Hugh, reveal talks are continuing and there is a desire for all parties involved to get a deal done as soon as possible.
Mubama is keen to get first-team minutes on the clock which is another consideration from those close to him, according to Claret and Hugh.

Why West Ham United have waited until the last stretch of Mubama’s contract to tie him down, given his rapid progress this past year, fans will never know.
The 19-year-old is highly-regarded within the club and amongst fans given his rampant performances with the youth setup in recent seasons, scoring 13 goals in 20 Premier League 2 games last season [Transfermarkt] and even bagging a goal for the first-team during their Europa Conference League triumphant run.
The Hammers have already lost a batch of top-tier young talents from their academy in the last two or three years and are seemingly not learning their lessons after seeing the likes of Amara Nallo, Divine Mukasa, Armstrong Oxoflex and Sonny Perkins call it quits.
Given the club’s struggles in signing a top-calibre striker in recent years, it’s probably time for David Moyes and those within the club to start placing their trust in their young stars.
Mubama and Callum Marshall are talents who should be on the cusp of the West Ham United first team.
Mubama and his agents’ recent stance on his guaranteed game-time at the London Stadium is understandable as he doesn’t want to commit and then face the prospect of becoming an unfortunate benchwarmer.
Either way, the Irons will be incredibly silly to watch another hot talent walk out of East London.
