West Ham United: Chris Sutton reacts to Jarrod Bowen ‘blow’ in Fulham prediction for BBC Sport
West Ham United extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to three games when they face Fulham on Sunday 14 April, according to Chris Sutton.
David Moyes’ side picked up three points against Wolves last time out in the league and while Sutton believes that the absence of Jarrod Bowen will be a “big blow”, the BBC Sport pundit believes the Irons will claim a point in a 2-2 draw.
Fulham are without a win in their last three outings and were “insipid” in their defeat to Newcastle United on Saturday (6 April) but Sutton expects them to provide an attacking threat at the London Stadium.
Writing in his BBC Sport Premier League predictions (11 April) he said: “Jarrod Bowen’s injury is a big blow for West Ham and their leading scorer is likely to miss this game as well as their Europa League tie with Bayer Leverkusen.
“I expected more from Fulham last week but in the end, they were pretty insipid in their defeat by Newcastle. This has got ‘draw’ written all over it, hasn’t it? Let’s go for some goals in the game though.”
Will West Ham United sack David Moyes or will he be given a new contract?
It has been such a strange season for West Ham under Moyes. Despite impressing both domestically and in Europe, there is a general feeling of unhappiness among supporters over the Scotsman’s style of play.
The Hammers have never been more than a couple of games away from a feeling of discontent inside the London Stadium. While a draw against Fulham wouldn’t be a bad result, it is unlikely to drag many fans back onto Moyes’ side.

Most signs suggest that the Irons boss will extend his contract beyond the end of the season this summer, but there have been suggestions that he has taken note of supporters’ feelings over him and his defensive first style.
Whether or not they will play a role in his decision come the summer remains to be seen, but it feels as though anything less than a point against Marco Silva’s side will see doubts raised over his suitability in East London again.
