West Ham United: Celtic now in advanced talks to sign Justin Osagie
Celtic are now in advanced talks to sign West Ham United defender Justin Osagie, according to Fraser Fletcher on Monday afternoon (25 July).
The journalist, who has worked for BBC Scotland, shared the news that the Glasgow giants have made their move to sign the highly-rated prospect at the London Stadium.
Osagie is eligible to play for England and Nigeria, and first arrived at the Hammers after starting his career with Southend and Spurs.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Fletcher shared the news that Celtic were on the case of the defender ahead of a potential move.
“Celtic are in advanced talks for highly-rated West Ham Youngster Justin Osagie,” he wrote.
“The defender signed for West Ham aged 15 in 2020 after spells at Southend and Tottenham. He is also eligible for England and Nigeria.”
Deal close.
With talks now advancing between the two clubs, it now looks as though another young exit is set.
Osagie never got the chance to kick on at the club, and will move on to the Scottish champions after only a couple of years in east London and the academy.
David Moyes gave plenty of younger players their chances in the first-team last season, even in Europe, but Osagie was likely in the group below the latest batch.
The young defender will have been waiting for his chance, but that didn’t arrive.
It feels strange to jump ship again, but the club must be happy for it to happen even though he is highly rated at the London Stadium, with talks kicking on.
We hope this one doesn’t come back to haunt West Ham United, but we don’t imagine he will be in the first-team for another few years, even at Celtic.
