West Ham United behind-the-scenes update emerges on David Moyes as tensions rise

West Ham have decided to keep David Moyes and Tim Steidten apart due to tensions increasing over the former’s future, according to Jack Rosser.

The Sun journalist reported on 2 May that sources claim it’s done so that Moyes and the squad can focus on ending the season well.

Steidten, who is the technical director, can focus on future plans, rather than being bogged down by the day-to-day happenings.

Rosser wrote: “However, with tensions increasing over Moyes’ future, a decision has now been made to keep the two apart at both the London Stadium and the club’s Rush Green training ground.

“The former director at Bayer Leverkusen and Werder Bremen will still attend West Ham’s final three games against Chelsea, Luton and Manchester City.

“Sources at the club say it is so that the manager and players can focus on a strong end to the season and Steidten can continue to work on planning for the future.”

Final straw of David Moyes’ tenure at West Ham?

The decision to keep the two apart highlights the growing tensions within the club as Moyes’ future hangs in the balance.

While this arrangement makes sense in terms of allowing both parties to focus on their respective roles, it also suggests that the Scotsman’s time at the London Stadium might be coming to an end.

The fact that Steidten, as the technical director, is tasked with finding a manager indicates that the club are preparing for a future without Moyes.

If Steidten does not rate Moyes as the right person to lead the team going forward, it is likely that the club will part ways with the current manager.

This situation reflects the broader trend in modern football, where clubs often look for a fresh start with a new manager when they feel that the team needs a change in direction.

The separation of Moyes and Steidten might be seen as a precursor to a managerial change at the Hammers, signalling the end of Moyes’ tenure at the club.

In other West Ham news, the club have been handed a major boost in appointing David Moyes’ replacement as a manager has made his future intentions clear.
