West Ham United and Manchester United update emerges on manager Edin Terzic

West Ham and Manchester United are both keen on hiring Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic over the summer, according to TEAMtalk.

The news outlet reported on 25 April that new Manchester United stakeholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is considering his options if Erik ten Hag is to be shown the door.

The Hammers are also admirers as he was an assistant coach at the club back when Slaven Bilic was the manager.

Edin Terzic could be the next West Ham United manager

Terzic’s two-year stint as assistant manager to Bilic from 2015 to 2017 gives him familiarity with the club’s culture and expectations.

This prior experience could help him integrate quickly and understand the specific challenges and opportunities the Hammers present.

As a head coach, Terzic has demonstrated his ability to revitalise struggling teams and achieve success and could be the ideal one to take over from David Moyes.

He took over Borussia Dortmund on an interim basis in December 2020 and led them to the DFB Cup title and qualification for the Champions League.

In his first full season in charge, he guided Dortmund to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, showcasing his tactical acumen and ability to manage high-pressure situations.

Terzic’s man-management skills and his knack for developing young players are particularly valuable attributes.

He has been able to get the best out of players like Jadon Sancho, which suggests he could help nurture and improve West Ham’s young talents.
