West Ham United and Leeds United in race to sign Club Brugge forward Noa Lang
West Ham and Leeds United are reportedly in the race to sign Club Brugge forward Noa Lang this summer.
According to Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath, AC Milan are also in the race to sign the Netherlands international after an impressive Champions League and domestic campaign.
Both the Hammers as well as Milan could offer the player European football next season while Rabbi Matondo has been mooted as an alternative.
McGrath wrote via Twitter, “In attack #LUFC are long-term admirers of Club Brugge’s Noa Lang but face competition from #ACMilan and #WHUFC who can both offer European football. Rabbi Matondo is among alternative options following his season with #CercleBrugge.”
Sign him
Lang proved it to everyone this past season why he’s one of Europe’s next big things and it would be incredible to see him at West Ham.
In many ways, he’s like a young Michail Antonio – as he’s got a phenomenal dribbling ability, good close control and the ability to make runs that stretch defences.
He’s also got a penchant for scoring “magnificent” goals as well.
Milan would obviously offer him Champions League football while the Hammers could only give him Conference League football.
However, there’s a good chance that the Irons give him a bigger salary and also the ability to play in the best domestic league in the world.
Leeds can only consider getting him if the two European teams cool their interest in the player and that does not seem to be happening thus far.
David Moyes would surely relish the opportunity to work with the Dutchman and we’re excited to see if he gets this one over the line.
