West Ham United agree deal in principle for fee and wages of Gianluca Scamacca transfer – ExWHUemployee

West Ham United have agreed a deal in principle to sign Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca on Friday (22 July), according to ExWHUemployee.

The reliable source has shared that bonuses and clauses within the structure of the deal still need to agreed upon, with David Moyes’ seal of approval also needed.

It is shared that basic wages have also been agreed, with the Irons closer than ever to getting a new number nine over the line at the London Stadium.

Writing on the official West Ham Way Patreon page, Ex shared the update that will likely bring a huge sigh of relief from everyone regarding this deal.

“Scamacca deal is agreed in principle with fee and basic wage,” he wrote.

“Bonuses and clauses and how the deal is structured need agreements. The same with his personal terms. So whilst the deal is a lot closer, with Moyes’ seal approval they will need to finalise the terms of transfer and contract.”

Basically done.

With both West Ham and Sassuolo now coming to a basic agreement, it shouldn’t take long before this one is ironed out officially in the coming days.

Sky Sports have already reported that there is an asking price of £42.6million, and the Irons aren’t likely going to pay that in full so add-ons will likely be added in.

Scamacca agreeing to a basic wage also means that the player is now ready to make the switch to the Premier League, something that was initially a sticking point.

Moyes will surely have not let it get this far if he wasn’t happy with the Italian international, and hopefully, he can give the green light for GSBK to finish this one off.

West Ham United have been crying out for a new striker for years now, and it finally looks as though they are going to deliver on that front.
