West Ham United ace Nayef Aguerd named in top 10 fastest Premier League defenders as speed revealed
West Ham United defender Nayef Aguerd has ranked among the top 10 fastest defenders in the Premier League this season, according to Squawka.
The Moroccan recorded a speed of 34.95km/h earlier in the campaign, placing him ninth in the list for the fastest defenders in the league.
He is the only Hammers player on the list, with Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney recording the fastest speed for a defender at 35.99km/h.

Aguerd has been limited to just 10 Premier League appearances since joining from Rennes last summer, with the defender suffering an ankle injury in a pre-season friendly against Rangers.
After requiring surgery on the ankle, the Moroccan has now recovered to play the entire 90 minutes in each of West Ham’s last nine league matches.
Aguerd finds himself as one of only a few centre-backs in the top 10 list, with the majority of players occupying full-back roles.
Surprise inclusion
Aguerd’s inclusion will perhaps come as a surprise to many West Ham supporters, although in their defence, they really haven’t seen much of him this season.
But Hammers and indeed Morocco fans have recently seen the best of the centre-back, who has been shining for club and country.
Along with playing a key role for the African nation in their 2022 World Cup heroics, Aguerd has helped the Hammers establish one of the top defences in the current Premier League season.
Their position in the relegation zone may not show it, but David Moyes’s side have been resolute at the back, with their failures in the final third a major part of their overall struggles.
Aguerd looks set to be a key player as the Hammers continue their fight for survival over the coming months, with the defender expected to leave East London should the campaign end in disaster with relegation.
