Richard Keys baffled by what Erik ten Hag said about Man United defeat v West Ham United
Richard Keys questioned the comments made by Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag following his side’s Premier League defeat to West Ham.
The Irons won Saturday’s (23 December) contest at London Stadium 2-0 through second-half goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus.
However, speaking to beIN Sports [23 December, 17:15pm] after the game, Ten Hag suggested the visitors were unfortunate not to come away from the match with anything.

“It was a solid performance but we didn’t score,” he said. “We controlled the game.
“To win a game, you need to score a goal. I think we were totally in control, both in and out of possession. Then we switched off in minute 72.”
In response to those comments, Keys said: “He’s kidding himself.
“This is a game Eric ten Hag saw differently from the rest of us.
“West Ham’s gameplan was played out to perfection.”
Dread Devils
David Moyes did indeed come prepared for this match and his tactics paid off to perfection.
West Ham were happy to do what they had to to frustrate their opponents, before picking them off with a couple of second-half goals.
Bowen’s goal was very nicely taken, while a mistake was brilliantly pounced on as Kudus sealed the points.
How the visitors can argue they deserved more is strange. It is now four games without a goal for Ten Hag’s side.

For all the complaints from West Ham fans of late, a look at the opposition shows things could be a whole lot worse.
Unlike Moyes, Ten Hag just did not appear to have any sort of gameplan. That is hugely worrying when you factor in how much they have spent.
Back-to-back league wins for West Ham without conceding has them looking up the division, with the Irons now two points better off than Man United.
In other West Ham news, Andy Gray has delivered an “unlucky” verdict on the Hammers’ transfer business.
