West Ham transfer news as Bayern Munich willing to spend ‘big money’ on Declan Rice – ESPN journalist
Bayern Munich are willing to spend “big money” on West Ham ace Declan Rice this summer,” according to ESPN correspondent Constantin Eckner.
Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly a “huge fan” of the Hammers ace, with that interest dating back to the latter’s days as Chelsea manager.
Rice could play his last West Ham match when the club take on Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final on 7 June.

“Thomas Tuchel is a huge fan of Declan Rice,” Eckner told talkSPORT. “Dating back to his time at Chelsea, where he had a couple of times against Rice. He knows the player.
“Tuchel wants a strong holding midfielder, someone who can cover the space behind Jamal Musiala, Thomas Muller, these attacking players.
“Plus, Bayern are willing to invest big money into two players; a midfielder first and foremost, and second of all a clear-cut striker.”

Summer battle for Rice
The transfer window may not be open yet, but there is already a battle ongoing for West Ham ace Rice, who is seemingly one of the most-coveted players in world football.
Given his consistently impressive displays in claret and blue in what has been a miserable domestic season for the club, it is clear to see why major clubs like Bayern are chasing his signature.
Whether the German giants win the race for his services remains to be seen, but it is clear that they are willing and have the funds to spend big on the Hammers star.
They may have just won the Bundesliga title, but Tuchel will be eager to strengthen his options in order to challenge for that elusive Champions League trophy.
The German outfit could strengthen in other positions, but a defensive midfielder like Rice looks to be the number one target, with the England international definitely capable of improving an already very talented Bayern starting XI.
