West Ham to deploy ‘enhanced’ security against Eintracht Frankfurt
West Ham United will deploy an “enhanced” security protocol for their Europa League semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt, according to the Mirror.
The Bundesliga side sold out their away allocation for their quarter-final against Barcelona but supporters who had missed out managed to get into the Nou Camp home end instead.
They had bought tickets off Barca fans who didn’t want to go to the game and nearly 30,000 German supporters ended up in the stadium as they knocked the Catalan giants out.

Tickets have been flying off the shelves for the semi-final between the Irons and Frankfurt at the London Stadium and many travelling fans may find themselves without a ticket again.
West Ham though are prepared to do whatever is necessary to prevent similar scenes to the Nou Camp next Thursday.
A senior London Stadium source confirmed to the Mirror that they will have “enhanced steward and security resources and this will be integrated with significant police planning.”
No such luck
Those travelling Frankfurt fans might have been fortunate to find a wave of Barcelona fans not fancying their dwindling team but they won’t be so lucky at the London Stadium.

Tickets for the semi-final in England have, understandably, been in extremely high demand and you will struggle to find a single Hammer who will willingly give their seat at the big game up.
It’s a very smart move to increase police presence at the tie with both sets of fans being as passionate as each other and numbers around the ground set to be huge.
There’s a good chance that similar precautions will be in place in Germany too with Irons fans everywhere hoping to get the chance to watch their beloved club in Europe again.
As long as both clubs and their respective fanbases are able to behave themselves appropriately, then it looks set to be a wonderful footballing spectacle.
In other West Ham news, Declan Rice has reportedly made a major decision on his future at the London Stadium.
