West Ham to consider Aaron Cresswell sale amid Wolves links on one condition – Injury Expert

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at West Ham...

West Ham will be contemplating the sale of Aaron Cresswell more to do with his age than his injury record, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert assessed the 33-year-old’s fitness record over the past few seasons as he’s been David Moyes’ first-choice option for many seasons.

However, this summer, he has been linked with the exit door as Sun journalist Alan reported via Patreon on Monday (7 August) that along with Wolves, Nottingham Forest are also keen on signing him.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said, “Looking at his injury record, I’d be surprised to learn the club wants him out due to that.

My immediate thought is they want to get younger at that position and get a fee while they still can as his injuries could become more persistent as he gets old.

Wolves potentially rumoured to be in for him and additionally, West Ham now have filled coffers after the Declan Rice transfer to find higher level targets in key positions.

Cresswell made 28 league appearances last season and despite signing Emerson, Moyes opted for the English left-back.

However, this term, barring 30 minutes in the League Cup, he is yet to feature for the Hammers, amid speculation surrounding his exit.

He is yet to play in the Premier League and his age is making it feel like this is the last summer the Irons can demand a decent fee for his services.

In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
