West Ham to allow Alex Kral to leave in summer

West Ham will reportedly allow midfielder Alex Kral to leave in the summer, having signed him on loan with an option to buy.

According to Claret and Hugh, David Moyes could look to add replacements in the middle of the park as the 23-year-old appears to be on his way out.

Kral has just played one Premier League game this season and is yet to be named in the playing eleven.

Right move?

The Czech Republic international has struggled since his move to the London Stadium.

Given the depth in the Hammers squad, he has not been among David Moyes’ first names on the team sheet.

He did well at Euro 2020 and the assumption was that he could fight his way into the manager’s plans.

Moyes was understood to be a fan of the Czech Republic international, including him in his “magnificent seven” list ahead of that competition.

There even were suggestions of him moving to a three-man midfield to accommodate Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek as well.

Should Kral decide to go back to Spartak Moscow, the Hammers most certainly will be needing another midfielder.

Mark Noble is also set to retire at the end of the season and Conor Coventry may be another season away from being in the first-team picture.
