West Ham target six more signings after acquiring Nayef Aguerd – report
West Ham United are looking to make six more signings in the ongoing transfer window, according to Evening Standard.
The Hammers have completed their first signing of the window by acquiring the services of Nayef Aguerd from Rennes on Monday [20 June].
The report stated that manager David Moyes is keen to bring a host of players into the squad after an impressive season where the Irons played in the semi-final of the Europa League.

It is also believed that the former Manchester United manager will have all the support of the club to make those signings after guiding the club to successive European sports finishes.
Rock at the Back
West Ham couldn’t have started their summer with a better signing than Aguerd considering the defensive issues they have had in the last few weeks of the concluded season.
However, it is important that the Hammers continue to remain in the hunt for new players. The big talking points in the squad is the striker’s position and the midfield.

Moyes knows that he cannot rely on Michael Antonio all season, so it is important that he considers fresh strikers as part of the squad overhaul. Ben Brereton Diaz is one of the names mentioned.
Apart from that, they need to strengthen their midfield as Mark Noble has retired from the club and Declan Rice’s future remains uncertain.
If we look at the players’ personality, West Ham need players that will demand certain standards from the rest of the team. They must organize the team defensively and play the role of manager on the pitch.
