West Ham target Jonathan David will leave Lille – agent
West Ham are interested in Jonathan David, and the player’s agent has commented on the future of the Lille striker.
ExWHUemployee suggested this week that the Hammers are one of the clubs keeping tabs on the 21-year-old.
The striker apparently likes West Ham, but the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are also keen to sign him.

The player’s agent, Nick Mavromaras, has confirmed that it will be David’s last season at Lille. He has suggested that the youngster could either move to the Premier League or La Liga, but as of now, there haven’t been any offers for him.
“I can’t say his price today, that has to do with Lille,” he told Radio Canada‘s Tellement Soccer podcast (via 90 min (23 December).
“Jonathan won’t show it, but he knows he is one of the best young forwards in the world.
“For us, the goal is to finish the season in Lille, but it will be his last season there for several reasons. I think the Premier League is a great option for him. I think he likes Spain a lot too because he likes playing with the ball and alongside very technical players.”
Sensational
He has been in “sensational” form this season after joining from Gent in 2020 – David is the club’s top scorer with 11 goals in 18 games.
The striker has a contract at the French club till 2025, and Lille are expected to demand a high transfer fee for him, and it’s highly unlikely that West Ham can secure his signature.
French clubs are struggling financially, and Lille are no exception. They could be willing to sell him but a January move seems unlikely.

West Ham should be desperate to sign a striker in January given their own problems at the London Stadium.
The Hammers are currently short in options in that department, with Michail Antonio operating as a lone striker at the moment.
Although David will be a superb addition, the likes of Eddie Nketiah or Divock Origi are realistic targets for the Hammers in January.
West Ham could also be looking to add one or two defenders to their ranks next month as injuries start to mount.
