West Ham Super Fans want Pablo Fornals start to start v Wolves

This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Ham Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around the London Stadium.

Pablo Fornals is expected to be fit to play for West Ham in their upcoming Premier League clash against Wolves at Molineux on Monday.

The 25-year-old has missed the last two matches due to a knock and in his absence, the Hammers have lost 1-0 to Manchester United and let slip of a three-goal lead to draw with Arsenal.

The former Villarreal playmaker has been vital for the Irons this season and clearly, he’s been missed in recent weeks.

However, football.london reports Fornals is available to feature against Wolves in the West Midlands on Monday night and David Moyes will consider handing the midfielder a spot in his starting line-up.

We asked our panel of West Ham Super Fans whether they think Fornals should be straight back into the side and here is what they had to say:

One Super Fan, Talkin West Ham (@TalkinWestHamsimply feels that Said Benrahma should make way for the returning Spain international.

It remains to be seen how Moyes will set his team up to play on Monday.

Fornals hasn’t played in almost a month when he suffered his knock in the 2-0 win over Leeds on March 8 so Moyes could be hesitant to start him.

Frank McAvennie has recently told West Ham Zone that players shouldn’t be rushed back from injury and that building up match fitness is vital towards players avoiding further spells on the sidelines.

Fornals has been so vital to West Ham though that leaving him out could mean the team doesn’t play as well.

It would be great to see him, Jesse Lingard and one of either Jarrod Bowen or Said Benrahma playing in support of Michail Antonio.

In other West Ham news, Tomas Soucek can cause a nuisance in the air against Wolves on Monday night.
