Declan Rice wants an astronomical hike and all-time high wages at West Ham, according to a report in EuroSport.
The Hammers midfielder has been linked with an exit amid interest from Manchester United, City, Chelsea and Liverpool, but the club have remained firm with their stance to not sell him this summer.
He’s on a long-term deal at the London Stadium so the ball is firmly in the Hammers’ court, but he could be an expensive luxury should he commit to an even longer contract at the club.

Rice is a fan favourite at the London Stadium and is undoubtedly the Irons’ best player. If they have a world class name among their ranks it has to be the England international.
So, when the story of his wage demands broke, unsurprisingly most fans want to give him whatever he’s asking for.
Here’s what they said…

We mirror the opinions of one fan who’s claiming that his agent is at play, looking to create uncertainty. While it is true that Rice deserves to be paid more, we’re sure his demands won’t be as ridiculous as asking him to be the biggest earner in the club’s history.
Rice is currently training for the Euro 2020 final for England, so his club future and something as insignificant as a contract that has a while left on it, must be the last thing on his mind.
We would want Rice to stay for the longest time and even hand him a lifetime contract at the club if it was an option, but we’re aware of David Sullivan’s nature and he would look to sell him if the right offer was made.
The clubs interested in him are among the richest in Europe so affording him may be an insignificant question. It may not happen this summer, but if he continues improving, they could return with a significant bid in 12 months.
