Declan Rice has reportedly turned down two contract extensions at West Ham which put his suitors on high alert.
The Telegraph reported the news that may have unsettled a number of Hammers fans, but with four years left on his deal, the club seem confident of holding on to his services.
There have been talks of the London club looking at nine figures in order to sell the player, which in today’s market is unlikely to happen, at least for a defensive midfielder.

However, the news still unsettled a few West Ham fans as they’re considering the possibility of Rice parting ways with the club this summer.
While it is not entirely ruled out, on the balance of things, it seems improbable.
Here’s what they said.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool are all interested in signing our prized asset, but it’s unlikely that we will sell him on the cheap.
With the above clubs already looking to spend big in other positions for different players, it could theoretically rule them out if we do not budge with our valuation.
Thus far, all Rice’s done is turned down an extension which could reflect on him not getting the salary he desires. Having seen some fringe players get paid big wages, the England international believes, and rightly so, that he should be one of our top earners.
It’s still early days in the window but we’re confident that he’ll stay on at the London Stadium for next season.
David Sullivan could be tempted to selling if an offer of £100million comes his way, and we think that could be the right price to cash in on him.
While we want him to stay, we’ve got to understand that the club is run as a business and the player could have aspirations of playing at a higher level, meaning we would have to comply.
