West Ham still to make bid for Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos
West Ham have reportedly not made an offer yet for exit-linked Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos who could leave this summer.
According to 90Min, the Hammers have been linked with the Colombian hitman but are yet to solidify their interest by making an official offer.
Morelos is deadlocked in contract talks with the Ibrox outfit and he could be sold if he does not sign a new deal as he’s only got a year left on his deal.
If the Hammers fail to get Armando Broja over the line, they must do whatever they can to sign the 26-year-old this summer.
He has flirted with an exit from Rangers for the last two seasons and finally could get his move to a top-half Premier League club.
Not only will the Hammers offer him higher wages, but he will also be working under a better manager, playing with better players and competing in the best league in the world.
The pace of the Premier League would suit him perfectly as he’s an extremely mobile and goal-hungry forward who stops at nothing whenever he’s in the final third.
His hunger is something that David Moyes will be impressed with and he could go on to become a fan favourite at the London Stadium.
Whether or not the club hierarchy sanctions a move for him, remains to be seen but he will certainly be more cheap than Broja who will arrive from Chelsea.
If their negotiators are good, West Ham may even sign the player for half the fee they’re willing to offer the Blues for the Albanian.
