West Ham ace reacts to Dele Alli update as ex-Tottenham star hunts deal at new club
West Ham have a number of promising midfielders in their current squad.
Academy graduate Freddie Potts has been impressive and is playing big part in the team’s efforts to avoid relegation.
Mateus Fernandes has been phenomenal, and the Hammers have finally managed to address the issues they suffered in midfield over the last two seasons.
Former Tottenham star Dele Alli was previously linked with a move to West Ham in April 2024 and is currently a free agent.
Although West Ham don’t seem to want to sign him now, one of their players has shown the midfielder some love.

Kyle Walker-Peters reacts to Dele Alli’s Instagram posts
Since leaving Tottenham in January 2022, Alli has struggled to stay fit.
Alli was at Everton between 2022 and 2024, yet he only managed to make 13 appearances for the Toffees as his time in Merseyside was hampered by injuries.
After moving to Italian side Como, the 29-year-old was sent off in his only match for Como after a foul on AC Milan’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek before being shortly released in September 2025.
Alli reacted to Kyle Walker-Peters’ move to West Ham, and the Hammers defender has now returned the favour.
| Stat | Alli |
| Appearances | 269 |
| Goals | 67 |
| Assists | 55 |
Both players spent over four years playing together for Tottenham, and they have clearly kept a close relationship ever since the right-back joined Southampton in August 2020.
The ex-England international posted a fitness update on Instagram, which shows that he may be returning to action soon as he continues to search for a new club.
Walker-Peters liked Alli’s most post, which included pictures of him training in the gym.
The Hammers defender also commented on his post on 7 February and said: “Happiness >.”

How was Walker-Peters performed since joining West Ham?
Walker-Peters joined West Ham from Southampton in the summer transfer window on a free transfer.
The 28-year-old has started 10 Premier League matches this season, although Nuno Espirito Santo is rapidly starting to lose faith in him.
He has only played one minute of football in the last four games after starting the previous five league matches.
Walker-Peters was linked with a move to Fiorentina in the winter transfer window, and his future could become increasingly uncertain if his game time doesn’t improve.
With Aaron Wan-Bissaka performing well at right-back, his minutes in the team may not improve for a while under Nuno.
