West Ham share injury update on four players ahead of clash v Fulham

West Ham have confirmed that Aaron Cresswell is available to play against Fulham on Saturday after a fitness scare this week.

Cresswell, 30, appeared to pick up a groin injury in the defeat at Liverpool last week but should be fit to remain in the starting line-up against Fulham.

West Ham also announced via their official Twitter account on Friday that Mark Noble and Michail Antonio will miss the game but new signing Said Benrahma is “getting closer to match fitness”.

Cresswell has played every minute of every Premier League match so far this season and since his move to play as the left-sided centre-back in David Moyes’ back-three, he’s been in great form.

While not having Noble and Antonio available against Fulham is a bit of a blow, we’re confident that Moyes’ side should be able to beat the Cottagers.

If West Ham can see off Wolves and Leicester and then earn draws against Tottenham and Manchester City, they should be able to beat newly-promoted Fulham, who won their first match of the season on Monday against West Brom.

If Benrahma can play any role in that game, it will be a massive boost.

Before joining the Irons from Brentford last month, the Algeria international helped the Bees progress in the Carabao Cup by scoring twice in a 3-0 win over Fulham.

Benrahma made his Hammers debut at the weekend with a late cameo off the bench against Liverpool.

We would imagine that he’ll spend more time on the pitch against Scott Parker’s side if his fitness has improved over the course of the last week.

In other West Ham news, Brexit could be an issue in West Ham’s bid to sign Fredrik Alves Ibsen.
