West Ham set to sell and replace Issa Diop in the summer
West Ham are reportedly prepared to sell under-performing French defender Issa Diop in the summer.
According to Claret and Hugh, the Hammers will look to rope in a replacement for him.
The 25-year-old had been linked with an exit in the January transfer window as well but a London Stadium exit failed to materialise.

Good riddance?
Kurt Zouma’s signing in the summer was seen as a relief as that meant Moyes would not have to rely on Diop.
The France international formed a good understanding with Angelo Ogbonna until his season-ending injury.
However, once he was out of the side, Zouma also suffered an injury, which left Craig Dawson to partner Diop.
While the Englishman has fared decently, it’s safe to say that his French defensive partner has proven to be unreliable and has been labelled “shocking” by Jack Rosser.

There’s a good chance he could’ve been sold in January had the club signed another defender.
It seems a certainty that they will in the summer, which means Diop’s days at the club could be numbered.
It makes sense for the club to drive up the interest in his services as it could give them a bigger transfer fee which they can then put in to finance the move for his replacement.
