However, as per the latest report, the Toffees are confident of securing the move ahead of the Irons with the player certain of more first-team minutes after injuries to Yerry Mina and Ben Godfrey.

The report also stated that the Merseyside club are set to complete the signing for an initial fee of £12million plus add-ons.
Big blow
West Ham are having a move than decent season where they’ve made a number of big signings including forward Gianluca Scamacca, centre-back Nayef Aguerd, winger Maxwel Cornet and midfielder Flynn Downes.
However, they’ve also suffered some blows as a number of players have turned down their offers including winger Jesse Lingard who instead moved to Nottingham Forest, midfielder Amadou Onana who is now edging closer to joining Everton and left-back Filip Kostic who is expected to join Italian club Juventus.
Coady will be another addition to the list considering the Hammers were keen on bringing him in after an injury to Aguerd who is expected to be out for a while.

The 29-year-old has been a Wolves player since the summer of 2015 when he moved from Huddersfield in a deal worth £2.5 million.
Since then, he has played 317 matches for his current club across all competitions, including 152 in the Premier League, and has scored seven times and provided seven assists as well [Transfermarkt].
